Hello, Class of 2030! Welcome to Yale, and most importantly, welcome to Silliman, the objectively best residential college (you have hit the JACKPOT). My name is Elora (she/her) and I am a Cognitive Science major from Irvine, California. I am heavily involved in the film and theater scenes on campus, so if you’re looking to get involved in either, I’d love to chat. I was the President of the Cinemat, the film production company on campus (my term ended in December but I am still on board helping with finances), and in February, the Yale Dramat produced my play, SLAMMED, which I wrote/co-directed/acted in. I also love my job at the Schwarzman Center and as a photographer for theater productions and Silliman events (#SillimanPaparazzi). Other things that bring me joy here are special holiday meals at the Silliman Dining Hall, dog sightings in the courtyard, podcast walks on Hillhouse, and yuttling (taking the Yale Shuttle) to Trader Joe’s.
